The Cor Infantil Amics de la Unió is considered to be one of the top choirs in the country. The choir has taken part in renowned international festivals and has won prizes in numerous competitions. Second prize at the Certamen Coral de Tolosa in 2010, first prize at the Certamen Juvenil d’Havaneres de Torrevella (Alicante) and second prize at the Cantonigros International Festival of Music, both in 2009, stand out among the most recent awards. The choir has also carried out several different productions: among the most recent highlights were V-E-U-S and A la vora de la mar.
The choir has also collaborated in operas at the Gran Teatre Liceu (Barcelona). When it comes to recordings, we must highlight the choir’s most recent one, There is no Rose, that was released internationally and has been very well received by the critics. All members of the choir receive singing and voice technique lessons with Pilar Páez, Júlia Sesé and Maria Illa. Josep Vila Jover
has been the choir’s director from the outset.
